We
had a busy week here in the classroom. We’ve been working on classifying
triangles by angles, using pronouns, and finishing up our work on Asia. We have
also been working being respectful of each other and using kind words. Today
was our field trip to the Public Lands and to see the start of the Fur Rondy
Races downtown. We learned all about Alaskan animals and we got to see the sled
dogs up close for the races. It was a lot of fun!
On Wednesday,
March 9th, we will be going to the museum to explore the new Near the
Bear exhibit and see a show in the planetarium. We will be leaving Denali at
9:45 and returning at 2:00pm. This is a free field trip and we will be eating
lunch at the museum. On Thursday, March 3rd , there will be a parent
tea for the third grade parents at 5:30 in Denali’s library. This is a change
for the third grade parents to meet the intermediate teachers and ask any
questions about the transition to 4th grade. Denali is also
participating the Jump Rope for Heart and I packed is going home about this
program.
We earned a tally
party and after a very close classroom vote, it was decided that will have a
game/read in day on Friday, March 4th. Your child is invited to
bring in a game to share and/or a book to read (as long as it is small enough
to fit in their backpack and they can carry it on their own). Thanks! Snack
calendars are also going home today for the month of March.
