We’ve had a great week in the classroom wrapping up all our cultural works. On Tuesday and Thursday, we had a guest speaker from Kid’s Don’t Float talk to us about water safety. On this upcoming Thursday, May 14^th, we will go to West High School Pool to practice some of these skills. We also finished up our art project for the gala! I hope to see you there tonight! J

            A paper is coming home today about Field Day. It will be on Monday, May 18^th, and they are looking for parent helpers to assist in the different activities. This homework menu/spelling will be the last one of the school year.

Denali also has a new website at denali.asdk12.org. Check it out and you might see some familiar faces! Thanks again to all our wonderful parents who have been volunteering for all these field trips we’ve been having and helping with our art project! We could not have these great experiences without you!

We’ve had a great week in the classroom. We’ve been finishing up our Australian works, land and water forms, the art project for the gala, math, and language works. Yesterday, we took a fun trip to the Pioneer School House and learned what it would have been like to go to school in 1915. Thank you to everyone who has been turning in the permission forms for our upcoming field trips. Next week the Kid’s Don’t Float program will be in our classroom on Tuesday, May 5^th and Thursday, May 7^th. On Friday, May 8^th, we will be taking a bus to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Since this trip will be taking up a majority of our Friday, we will have spelling tests for that week on Thursday, May 7^th.

We are still in need of a few more drivers for our trip to West High School pool on Thursday, May 14^th. If you are able to make time in your schedule to join us for that trip that would be great! Thanks!
