We’ve had a busy and fun week here in
the classroom. Last Friday we had a great trip to the Pyrahs Pioneer Peak Farm.
We braved the rainy weather and tromped through the mud to learn all about the
different kinds of vegetables grown on the farm, pick some of our own, and take
a hayride through the farm. Thanks so much to all the wonderful parent volunteers
who were able to join us! On Monday, we prepared and cooked some of vegetables
we had picked to make our own “stone” soup. It was quite delicious. Be on the
look out for some pictures of our trip and soup making on our classroom
website. We also started up geometry lesson and are learning about/reviewing
compound words this week.
The canned food drive at Denali has
been extended and we will be continuing to collect non perishable food until
Friday, September 19th. Thanks!
