Happy Friday!

We’ve had a great week here in the in the classroom. We’ve been learning about and working with verbs, learning new math materials, doing guided reading, and we are starting our unit on Africa.

In two weeks, we will be going to the Apple Store downtown for a field trip. We will be learning different ways to use the computers and iPads in our classroom to present our research. We will be leaving Denali at 10:30 and returning around 12:45. This is a free field trip and it should be a lot of fun! Just a reminder that November, 19^th is Denali ‘s literature night from 6:30-8:00pm. There will be different booths and activities all focused on literature.

On the Wednesday, November 25^th, at 12:30pm we will be having a Thanksgiving feast in the classroom. Families are welcome and encouraged to join us! The feast will be potluck style and there will be a sign up sheet outside our classroom. Families are invited to sign up to bring a main dishes/casseroles, sides, desserts, rolls/bread, drinks, or utensils. It can be something special to your family, a dish you always have at Thanksgiving, a cultural dish, or anything you want to share with us. Before eating, we will gather to share some of things we are thankful for. It should be a lot of fun and I hope you can join us!
