We’ve had a great week
back at school. This week we started our exploration of Antarctica, worked on
measurement and finding perimeters of quadrilaterals, fractions, and pronouns.
Today we had a guest speaker, an anthropologist and archaeologist, and come in
and talk to us about early humans.
Next Tuesday, the 13th,
we have our field trip to the PAC to see the National Geographic Live
presentation from Kobie Boykins, a NASA engineer who works with the Mars
Rovers. We will be leaving the school at 9:45am and returning around 12. Thanks
to everyone who has sent in the permission form for this trip! If I have not
received your permission form, I am sending another one home today. Report
cards are also coming home today from second quarter. This is a copy for you to
keep. Please let me know if you have any questions.
We have some fun school
evens coming up in the next few weeks. Next Thursday, the 15th, 9:10am will be Denali’s spelling bee for the
