We’ve been busy here at
school. This week we continued to explore Antarctica and the many different
kinds of penguins, homonyms, fractions, and finding the area of rectangles. On
Tuesday we learned all about Mars exploration and the different Mars rovers on
our field trip and then had a great discussion after lunch about which rover
was our favorite. Congrats also to all the brave 3rd graders who
participated in the spelling bee! Next week is Battle of the Books on
Wednesday, the 21st. Since our library day falls on a Wednesday, for
next week only because of Battle of the Books, we will be having library at
10:35am on Tuesday, the 20th.
There will be no school
on Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, so enjoy your long weekend and see
you on Tuesday!
FYI: A notice on pink paper
is coming home today about bed bugs. Please read it over and if you have any
questions about it, please feel free to contact our principal or school nurse.
