We’ve been busy here at
school. This week we continued to explore Antarctica and the many different
kinds of penguins, conjunctions, fractions, and parts of a triangle. Congrats
also to all the 3rd graders who participated in Battle of the Books
last Wednesday! They all did great!
Another packet about bed
bugs is going home today. They have placed a beg bug detector in our classroom
and are checking it each day. As of this morning, there were no bugs found!
Yippee! J If you still have concerns, feel free to contact
our principal or nurse. Also if you would like to send in a plastic bag or tub
for your child to keep their personal belongings in, please feel free to do so.
Thanks for remaining calm during all of this!
For our 3rd
grade parents, a handout it going home today about the new standardized
testing. There will no longer be SBAs, instead were now are having AMP. The
testing will also now be on the computers instead of paper based, therefore on
this Thursday all the schools in Alaska will be testing the interface to make
sure it can handle that many users at one time.
